This isn't a day-by-day itinerary — it's the running list we actually give people who ask what to do here with children. It leans heavily on Paphos, because that's where we spend most of our own time, with a couple of things worth the drive to Limassol and one mountain escape up in the Troodos when the coast gets too hot.

Local note

Locals with young kids tend to save the archaeological sites for a cooler month — the water park and the zoo hold attention far better once the summer heat sets in.

Where to swim

Coral Bay, just north of Kato Paphos, is the easiest call — shallow, sandy, and set up with sunbeds and watersports for whoever needs entertaining beyond just the water. For a calmer option without the crowds, the small bays right around Kato Paphos harbor work fine for an hour or two without needing a full beach day.

What to do on a hot afternoon

One mountain escape: the Troodos

When the coast feels relentless, the drive up into the Troodos foothills is a genuine reset — noticeably cooler air, and villages like Omodos with enough space to wander without a set plan. It's less "sightseeing" and more a change of pace for everyone, kids included.

Worth the drive to Limassol

The Limassol seafront promenade is long enough for a proper evening walk, with playgrounds along the way and enough restaurants nearby that a meltdown over dinner options is rarely a real risk.
